iCal / Adium Away Message Integration

Maybe it's just me, but I've been dying for this feature.

Basically, it would automatically put up and update your away message based on your schedule in iCal.

Going further, perhaps for repeated events (say like classes) it would allow you to set custom messages that appear for that activity rather then just saying that activity.

I hope this could be done, it would be most awesome and helpful!

i'm sure this could be done through applescript. I've seen konfabulator widgets that use applescript to pull info from iCal, so that information could be used to generate Adium away messages. it's just a matter of having the knowledge of both apps' applescript dictionaries

Not to promote my own stuff (cough, cough), but i added an xtra called Caldium last week that performs some simple ical integration. It's not the best yet, but i'm trying to improve on it.
I'll try to see what i can do with your request, because i think other people (me included) would like to see the same thing.

wow... great idea with something like that i may reinstall iCal... it really is more of a nusance than a helpful scheldualing app.
