Request: Wake display

Post by carlj7 »

Hey, I have a request for a future version of Growl. It would be nice if there was a way that certain notifications could wake the display or remove the screensaver. I thought of this when my display went blank while I was reading a book and listening to iTunes, and I wished that I could see the name of new songs when it changed without having to mouse around and bring back the screen. Anyway, it would also be nice if this could be set on a per-Application or per-Event level, possibly by relating it to the priority of the event.

Ok, I just wanted to bring it up on the forum first, in case someone else had already thought it up.

Bump. This would be a really great feature to see.

Also, that trac link seems to be complaining.

Please don't bump old threads to say 'me too' unless there is a need to.
Try my software!

#define QUESTION ((2b) || (!2b))
Have you hugged a programmer today?
