Basically I re-installed OS X. Then I installed adium x. Then I copied my adium x application support file over. Everything worked fine and dandy, but now it is making sounds. Like a door opening and closing.
But I have all sounds turned off in events so I have NO idea how to turn this off. I even turned the sound all the way down on the events page.
Anyone have any ideas as to what this could be?
Thanks,
Josh
Adium making sounds but I turned all sounds off!
The only place I have heard the door opening and closing sound before is with the Yahoo official client. To get those sounds to work with Adium you would need to have downloaded a sound set. I am pretty sure though not 100% sure they are not part of the default sounds.
Assuming that is how you got the sound set. You might try deleting the sound set that contains your door opening and closing sounds (probably called something like Yahoo sound sets). That should remove the sound from the action. Though this is a very blunt solution so you might see if someone else posts a more refined solution.
Just as a shot in the dark. Are you by any chance using the Yahoo official client? It might be the sounds are from it, rather than Adium.
