As you can see in the screenshot above, there are loads of messages below the usernames. I assume this is under the option 'Show status below name'. When I select that option (or the idle time) it doesn't do anything. Nothing on my contact list has changed. How do I get it working or does it not work using the MSN protocol or something?
Also, would it be possible to display the users display name under the Alias I have set for them?
Status messages or idle times not visible in my contact list

I am having the same trouble here - can't seem to solve with a restart of Adium. Does anyone have any idea where I'm going wrong?
The only way I can get staus to show beneath is if I have my Yahoo and MSN accounts running at the same time and then set an away message. However this then shows me away on MSN but the away message shows underneath my Yahoo name! (I have myself set as a buddy on each account so as I can 'monitor' what I 'look' like).
Any pointers gratefully received.
PS Adium is great software - look forward to the next release!

I think you're a tad confused about your away message.
MSN doesn't support Away messages, so if you go away, MSN just sets your status to away. Yahoo DOES support away messages, so it displays whatever text you enter as your away message.
If you want to set your MSN Display Name, you can do that from the Preferences, in the Accounts panel. Click the account that you want to change, and there ya go.

Thanks, so I guess all these buddies in this image are using Yahoo (or other) hence the extra text under their screen names?KennySim wrote:Got it working. Couldn't find that option before. Thanks
