people can't see my avatar and read my away-messages

I got a little problem with adium. Windows ICQ-User are not able to see my avatar/user-pic and they can't read my away-message. Why? When I had a windows pc in the past i was always able to read the adium-away-messages from a friend...

I have the same Problem - 90% of my contacts use ICQ 5.1 / Windows and can't see my away-messages.
They can see my status, but the message is empty.

Same goes for my avatar.

Nope, for me is everything else working as it should - I can send and recive messages, and I think this is what adium is about

But seriously: I can read the away-messages from my ICQ 5.1 / Win-contacts, see their avatars, their idle-time, can chat with them, send and recive files.

The only two things are my away-messages and my avatar (both with Adium 1.0.3 on my G4 eMac or 1.0.4b1 on my Intel MacBook) - and it's really annoying.

(I've even checked with Trillian, Mirinda and QIP - no away-messages set in adium are shown)

Yea - but this problem is out there a long time now and seems to be related to libpurple (see http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/582 ).

What is libpurple?

The libary used by adium to connect to the different im-networks, it's the core of Pidgin (Gaim).
