Testing message views, test compilation script?

Anyone ever considered making a ruby script or something that takes your message view files and compiles them into a test.html sort of page so you get almost exactly what adium is displaying then you can tweak it with CSSEdit or whatever.

How would this be used & has there been any update on this?
