Real Memory that GrowlHelperApp uses exceeds 100MB when observing it with ActivityMonitor.
Is this a memory leak?

Candybars uses webkit, so it'll increase memory usage.
1.1 will have some memory fixes that should address a few things.

Candybars is broken with the Safari/WebKit beta (3.0/522.11). Any others relying on webkit may be malfunctioning as well.

protoon fixed CandyBar last night for Growl 1.1b2.
Additionally, WebKit (2.x) in Tiger has *major* memory leaks which affect CandyBar and other WebKit apps (I've seen the leak in Adium, as well). I hope it's fixed in Safari 3 -- I believe it was, but that hasn't been verified yet.
