Privacy Settings Not Sticking

Post by jernomer »

Hi,

I am using Adium version 1.0.4 (on Mac OS X 10.4.9), and I am trying to set my privacy settings to "Allow only contacts on my contact list" for all of my accounts. But, whenever I restart Adium, the privacy settings revert back to "(Multiple privacy levels are active)".

Does anyone know if this is a known bug, or is there something I am doing incorrectly? Thanks.

No one, huh?

I just want to figure out how to only allow the people on my contact (buddy) list. I tried setting each account to "Allow only contacts on my contact list", but every time I reopen privacy settings it has changed.

For example, in my MSN account, it changes and keeps adding one of my contacts to the block list. When I remove that person from the block list, they get added to the "Only allow certain contacts list". I am worried if I leave this person in that list, Adium will only allow this one MSN contact to contact me and block the rest of my MSN contacts.

I just installed 1.2 and this is still not working. The privacy settings do not stick after restarting the program. I don't understand why this menu item still exists since this feature has never, ever worked. FWIW I'm using Adium (which is otherwise wonderful, btw), with ICQ, AOL, Yahoo and MSN.
