Adium long away messages/info

Post by Christoph »

Hello, i searched the forum but if this a a duplicate then i am sorry in advanced.

I have a two fold problem i am guessing are linked.
The first problem is that when i enter an away message say longer then 8 lines, the summary of the away message set next to my name ( i have multiple accounts set up for testing on my buddy list entitled Me) Just states "Away". The message is up and working because if someone IMs me while i am away they get the custom away message.

Second if go to get info on one of the accounts the status is blank.

any help is appreciated i know its not a crash program bug but it does get me annoyed for some reason

I'm having the same problem over AIM, although for me, I'm having issues with any away message over 220 characters long.

/me shrugs

I'm having the same issue. It wasn't an issue in earlier builds of Adium either. Which explains why I have 10+ away messages that no longer work because they are "too long" apparently.

Is there any info on this error?

If this is still an issue (I was having it in iChat, and now I'm not) it's fixed for 1.1.3 or 1.2 (since the libpurple 2.2.0 works absolutely with really long away messages).

I'm using 1.1.2 right now. When is the next version scheduled for release?

Hmm strange. What server and port are you trying to connect to AIM on? Are you behind a firewall at all?

AIM had server issues this afternoon Eastern time. They are now resolved.
The duck still burns.
