has Security Update 2005-003 broken Adium ?

Post by zzarg »

hopefully it's just me (or a very small subset of users) but, since installing the 2005-003 update this morning Adium 0.77 has stopped working for me.
It's been rock solid for ages, yet today I've had 4 or 5 flaming ducks and had to give up using it as I can't send or receive messages without it falling over...
It was fine before the update.
My Safari has also started misbehaving, so I'm wondering if Apple broke something....
Some posts on MacUpdate about the update indicate I'm not alone !

No problems here with Safari or Adium after running the update...

Looks like for some people the security update breaks webkit.. which'll kill Safari and Adium (and Fire and Proteus and Colloquy for that matter). Silly Apple.
The duck still burns.

delete and re-install webkit and Safari, clear caches, repair permissions and....
it seems to be okay.
