"Smart" statuses?

I am trying to create a "smart" status.

When iTunes is paused, I want it to read one thing, but when iTunes is playing, I want it to show the song I am playing.

I know how to get the iTunes songs on there (%_artist), but how do I say "If iTunes is paused, show this instead of this"?

You'll have to write an applescript to use conditionals. There's many examples on the Xtras site.

If you just want to display the information or blank, you can use the builtin %_iTunes status.
