i hate to break it to some of you but svn is meant for developers or testers.. nothing else. there is obviously going to be bug or crashes. not meant for the casual user.

That's a point I know. But it should be allowed to say that something that used to work correctly isn't working as expected anymore. This could be just a minor fault. You know?

Me once again (sorry guys) - this time it's no real problem. More a question. Why was the menu item "Quit" deleted from the menu bar item? I always closed Adium that way. It was a better flow than now. I have my Dock hidden and sometimes I just want to close Adium while it's not in the foreground. And everytime I point my cursor to the menu bar and then realize I have to go to the Dock again.
I think that menu bar menu is well organized but one more item wouldn't waste too much space, does it? :)

EDIT
Well I just saw one inconsistency right now. I'm using iPhone (mini) as status icons. And it looks as if Invisible and Offline are changed in the contact list. On the tabs they are alright. I looked in the plist and it's set correctly there. So it seems as if Adium takes the wrong statuses on the contact list.

Do you quit Adium often enough that it should be in the menu designed for fast access to things?

Everytime I built a new svn-version. ;) And I'm looking into the trunk every now and then. Maybe you're right - for normal use it isn't necessary. ;)

We'll see if a lot of complaints roll in when the beta is "officially" announced. As it stands right now, I'm not a big fan of having it in the EMD, but if there's enough outcry, it's not hard to add it back (and fortunately it wouldn't violate the string fereze).
