GrowlTunes Not Registering

I have GrowlTunes on my hard drive from the 1.1.2 update. I've opened and closed it a number of times, but it never registers with Growl. Tunes play through in iTunes without bringing up notifications. I have never had this problem with the zillion other Growl apps I use.

I also have Synergy, but I quit and disabled it before trying this.

I noticed that GrowlTunes stopped working for me, as well, when I updated to the latest iTunes (7.5). Hopefully this will get fixed in a future release.

Actually, I'm still on iTunes 7.4.2.

Silly question, is GrowlHelperApp running when GrowlTunes is launched?

10.4.11, itunes 7.5, growl 1.1.2
growltunes has to be manually launched (thank god for quicksilver)
t'was the same with 10.4.10 and itunes 7.4
any solutions?
