Growl "Sticky Notifications" Tweak Suggestion

Post by Caleb »

I've checked out the new version of Growl and I like the Sticky Notifications feature, however I think it could use a tweak.

If I go away from my Mac, sometimes I'll come back to 30+ messages. Clicking the 'X' for each one is tedious and time-consuming.

I'm wondering if there is already a way, or if this feature could be added, to use a hotkey that would "dismiss" all the current notifications.

This coupled with a "Growl History" feature (to review previous notifications) would be quite awesome.

As it is, I find the Sticky Notifications feature half-useful, as I tend to just turn it off when I find I get too many notifications to sift through.

Thanks for listening!

Hold the Option key down when clicking the (X) This also works in other places throughout the OS. The "Growl History" idea was recently discussed in another thread, please search for that for more details.
Try my software!

Have you hugged a programmer today?

My great thanks!

I tried looking for this but could not find it. I never realized it was an OS-wide feature/function. I love how Cocoa programmers program in system-wide functions often.

The office is rejoicing here. Thank you!

Could this be done using the keyboard?

Growl currently does not provide a hot-key to do this, nor a way to hook one in.
