Message history and using the source code question

Post by ShadowTech »

Hey,

Since I updated my adium it seems the option to control how many lines of previous conversations in your chat window has disappeared. Is that gone now? Or just moved.

Also, does anyone have any info links on what the rules are about changing the adium code. I'm interested in making some tweaks to it for my personal use (some features that were removed, things I don't need that should make it have a lighter footprint). Like for instance would I have to change the app name, could I redistribute it etc?

This preference is making its return in 1.2.

And licensing beside: If you distribute Adium with modifications, please make it very clear on the distribution page and in either the program itself or the version number which you assign to it that there have been 'unofficial' modifications.

This is for the benefit of both your users and of users of 'official' Adium to prevent potential confusion. The license does *not* require this, but we politely request it :)
