Font issue after 10.4.11 update

Hey all. One of the many issues I am having after installing 10.4.11 on my MacBook Pro affects adium. I've attached a screen shot, any ideas?

Looks like your font cache is corrupted. You're likely to see this in other programs too. The easiest way to clean your font cache is to reboot into Safe Mode. From apple.com:

1. Be sure the computer is shut down.
2. Press the power button.
3. Immediately after you hear the startup tone, press and hold the Shift key.
Tip: The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone but not before.
4. Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple and progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).

After the computer successfully starts up, simply restart your Mac like normal and you should be good to go.

Thank you so much! That fixed it, and all the issues i was having with other applications. I thought they may have been related. Maya wouldn't even start up but now it is working. thanks again for your help!
