Profile too long

i have this problem when i use my profile. I type the things i want to put in it, but sometimes, a message pops up like every couple of minutes saying:

Profile too long.
The maximum profile length of 1024 bytes has been exceeded. Gaim has truncated it for you.

the problem is that my profile isnt long at all! and ive had much longer ones which wasnt a problem. Ive tried re-installing it, but it hasnt done anything.

i use scripts in it, which i think might have something to do with it, but i really dont know how to fix it.

I have gotten this from time to time, don't know why it happens. But you are right, it seems to be associated with scripts. It tells you Gaim has shortened it, but that never seems to do anything...

Do you have a lot of text formatting (colors, fonts, etc.) in your profile? Each color or font change translates into a chunk of HTML code that counts against your profile length.

actaully, yes i do, ill try to cut back on the prettyness...so sad.

its been a while now with out that message poping up, and i did cut down on how mnay different colors and scripts i use, so i do think that that was what was causing the problem.
