growlnotify for MS Windows?

Hi there!

Has anyone ever tried to build growlnotify (from source) on a windows machine (like on cygwin or so)? I'd like to be able to notify my mac (which is my main machine) from my PC if it is doing stuff...

growlnotify is not meant to be used in this fashion, it won't work even if you get it to compile somehow.

I have to figure out another way to address Growl then, I guess...

with the blessing of the Growl team, i created a Windows port. it is still alpha code, but all of the main functionality exists. it has full network support, so you can also receive and send forwarded notifications. take a look at the screenshots at http://www.tripthevortex.com/growl/ and let me know if you are interested.
