Spaces in Leopard

Post by uselessness »

I am using multiple spaces and Growl's behavior in them is acceptable: New notifications show up in whatever space I'm currently looking at, and then remain in that space until they expire. So if a notification appears, and I switch to another space, the notification disappears from view. If I switch back, it reappears if it hasn't timed out yet.

If I receive a fairly heavy volume of notifications, and switch between spaces frequently, I would prefer to see them all remain onscreen regardless of what space I am currently in. In the Exposé & Spaces preference pane you can choose which space a particular application appears in by default, and one of the options is "Every Space." That is the behavior I'd like to see Growl exhibit. But because Growl runs in the background and isn't recognized as an application, I can't make that assignment here.

It's not a super-important thing, but it would be a nice touch for a Leopard-optimized version of Growl in the future. =-)

Hi,

well where can I find this awesome 1.1.3 version?
My notifications appear on one space only, and don't disappear after expiry. Same issue if my computer is on the screen saver. I must close the notifications manually. Easy when you've got one or two, annoying when you have ten and more

Cheers.

1.1.3 is currently in late beta. It has not yet been publicly released.
