Incorrect timestamp on uploaded files

The timestamp on uploaded files is way off. Cyberduck is not preserving modification date/time although it is checked in Preferences. Any way to fix this?

Maybe this is the cause: The time stamp cannot be preserved if you use SCP to upload files – you may want to try a different protocol (SFTP for example) to upload your files.

(For me, SCP is much faster for large files, but for most things I use SFTP to keep the timestamp.)
