WHAT?!?! Locky on our beautiful thread here on the forums?! Oh no!
I've thought of locking it without this, since you guys always argue about the smallest thing when one rule or another, which makes sense, is placed upon what gets posted.

If you're referring to screenshots, how do you know it's going to be hard? Who said there won't be a "sort by latest comment" option? Why haven't you suggested it instead of whining about the problem? Why do you have to argue against it, because you're too lazy to come up with better ideas?
Wow, all I say is I dont like the idea as a matter of personal preference and I get harassed for it. I think Ill just keep my mouth shut around here and lurk.
As for the bookmarks bar, its cluttered as it is. For 2 100% related sites, there should be links to one another. Im failing to see why one line of code is so much trouble?
I like the way the forums is organised. The new way could maybe have the same kind of organisation:
a list that shows entries under eachother (not having to click on different links to see them)
And the fact that ppl can comment on images (what's this background or this or that)
And I like the fact that people change their backgrounds because someone said it might have been better that way or whatever...
Too much structure would just be unhandy for everyone (imho): much to program, more data transfer (different pages), less social interaction.
I think that if you move to a non-linear format, you'll get a lot less discussion - because people will only look at pictures they find interesting. The way I understand your plan, you won't get the to and fro of this thread - because if people don't like the original picture they won't even see any posts about it. Think of the number of "Hey, what's that interesting menubar icon" comments that wouldn't get answered. Or even asked...
Yes, the idea sounds like a good one. It'd be great if you were really wanting to seriously study all of the screenshots, and comment on everything... Speaking for myself, I don't. It'd probably mean I never bothered looking at the screenshots, because it'll be like a second forum... Is that what you want?
Personally, I also like this thread the way it is. For me, its easy to follow in its current incarnation. It has lasted 139 pages this way, why change it now?
