what is this connection?

Adium is trying to connect to homepage.mac.com port 80 - curious as to what this connection is... not an update check as that has been deselected. Anyone know?

I don't see anything in that code which accesses homepage.mac.com. It's just in a comment.

How do you know it's Adium doing the connection? I'm not aware of any code which would do this.

True. What about an xtra? I know some other folks in the company I work for had pointed out Adium was trying to access homepage.mac.com as well. Lil Snitch caught it.

I too have been getting this connection since (re)installing Little Snitch. I have reverted back to using the default look and feel in order to pinpoint the faulty Xtra but I am still getting it. It does not look like this connection is getting initiated by an Xtra.

In fact I sniffed the connection using Wireshark and here is URI requested during Adium's startup sequence:
http://homepage.mac.com/[i].Mac_username[/i]/.cv/thumbs/me.thumbnail

I'm not a Cocoa programmer but could this be built-in to the .Mac API ?
