hiding away and idle contacts in list

Post by andru_911 »

would be a cool feature since everyone and their brother leaves their messengers running all day, and some of us have too many contacts/not enough room on our screens...just a thought :)

For the moment you can sort contacts by status, so at least the ones who are available will be near the top. Hiding contacts based on status is an interesting idea... Has this been discussed before? I seem to be vaguely remembering something sorta like this... I also seem to be doing that a lot recently ("remembering" things no one else can). :D

Has anyone know a solution to this.

I don't like seeing idling people on my contacts list. Can't chat to them so there's no point in having them displayed.

Perhaps an interesting option would be to have them sorted into groups - similar to the offline group, and have the "idle" group closed.

I know that this isn't possible now, but its something that might like to see, I'm not sure, though, I'm getting used to my groups the way they are...
