Edit: this reply refers to what msn-pecan supports. The msnp15 answers would be no, yes, yes.

i can't remember if i've reported it already in this thread, but i do have this issue too, consistently every time i connect to msn, i get requests to add the same two contacts. edit: i've had this happening at least since i started using your builds. there was an older build from the other thread, i don't remember if it was yours or someone else's, and i don't remember if it had this issue for me. i'm relatively sure tho that i've had it with all your builds from this thread and maybe one or two before from the other.Dimmuxx wrote:Maybe it was just a temporary server error then. Since only two people have reported this so far it's kind of hard to know if this really is a bug or just something temporary on some msn servers from time to time.Morgan wrote:Heh, I go to do this and it all starts working properly. Actually I think it was a hangover from any contacts I added while I was using the build from the previous thread. I fixed it by going to a site like Meebo or KoolIM, removing the contacts there, logging back on Adium, telling it no to adding when it got confused that these contacts were not there, going back on KoolIM to double check they'd not been readded, then back to Adium one last time, readding the contacts and no issues since. I've only added one new person since then though.hippy dave wrote:i can't remember if i've reported it already in this thread, but i do have this issue too, consistently every time i connect to msn, i get requests to add the same two contacts. edit: i've had this happening at least since i started using your builds. there was an older build from the other thread, i don't remember if it was yours or someone else's, and i don't remember if it had this issue for me. i'm relatively sure tho that i've had it with all your builds from this thread and maybe one or two before from the other.Dimmuxx wrote:Maybe it was just a temporary server error then. i can easily give you logs of when this occurs, but i don't have logs of when these two contacts were originally added. sometime i can get someone new added so i have the initial log, and assuming they join the other two in popping up every time i connect, then i'll collect the matching log for that and send you them both.
can't do this today tho as i'm in the middle of massive computer issues, they seem to be resolving now but it's just taking tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime......

It's not enabled at all last time I checked at least.neckaros wrote:changeset http://trac.adiumx.com/changeset/24049 wrote: provide partial direct connection support (p2p transfers)
Since you didn't say anything I assume it works to talk if adium is invisible and windows msn is not and you start the conversation by sending a message from windows msn to adium. If this is true then check the log in adium when you send a message from windows msn to invisible adium and see what kind of oim notification you get in the log. When you have this log message do the same thing again but be invisible in windows msn too. Maybe the oim notification this time is different so that adium doesn't react to it and therefor doesn't download the oim.Thissa wrote:Alright, so I got a VM set up and did some testing with Windows MSN...
You were right, Mac MSN doesn't appear to support OIMs or proper invisible messaging despite the advancements made in this build of Adium. So disregard all my previous results.
As for testing with Windows MSN - it is working perfectly for me with two exceptions:
1) If both parties are invisible, and Windows MSN initiates a chat with Adium, the messages will not be received by Adium until signing out / signing in again (they are treated as OIMs instead of regular messages).
2) If both parties are invisible, and there has been a break in conversation for a few minutes (regardless of who initiated), and then Adium tries to send a message to Windows MSN, the message will not be received by Windows MSN until signing out / signing in again (it is treated as an OIM instead of a regular message).
Interestingly, if both parties are invisible, and Adium initiates the conversation with Windows MSN, the conversation works perfectly (until there is a break of about a minute or so where neither party types, then problem #2 occurs).
But it seems that with 24008, as long as at least one party is online then everything works smoothly! Kudos!
I trust you. I think there is an error in the changelog then.Dimmuxx wrote:It's not enabled at all last time I checked at least.neckaros wrote:changeset http://trac.adiumx.com/changeset/24049 wrote: provide partial direct connection support (p2p transfers)
Yeah, as long as one party is visible, everything seems to work perfectly for me.Dimmuxx wrote:Since you didn't say anything I assume it works to talk if adium is invisible and windows msn is not and you start the conversation by sending a message from windows msn to adium. It was probably just a temporary server problem or something then unless someone can reproduce it and provide a log.Thissa wrote:Ugh, testing is hard. For some reason, today I cannot seem to reproduce my results from yesterday... even after waiting for several minutes, with both parties invisible, messaging seems to be working properly. But I will post a log for you if I can get it to happen again.
ahhhhhhhhhhh sweet relief..... thanksMorgan wrote:Actually I think it was a hangover from any contacts I added while I was using the build from the previous thread. I just tried to follow this to fix my "Authorisation Requested" messages every time I log in, but still can't fix it... The error doesn't turn up on any of the official builds.hippy dave wrote:

The French Team on TwitterI need OIM more than faster transfer. People didn't understand why i ignored them008325 wrote:actually , i think all peoples need faster transfer more than status message , offline message ...etc..

Status messages and offline messages are a must since it's part of the im core. Faster file transfers are just a nice bonus and there are much better ways to transfer files than through im.008325 wrote:actually , i think all peoples need faster transfer more than status message , offline message ...etc..
