This happens sometimes...a restart sometimes fixes it. I have to go to the archive to see what the person has written. The status icon changes to indicate if someone has written something.

What message style are you using? Any Adium plugins?

I've seen one other report of something like this; there were relevant logged messages in Console in that case... anything there this time?

Message Style: Stockholm
Variant: Blue - Grey.
I'll check the debug log next time it happens (unless you mean something else by console).

The console can be found in /Applications/Utilities/Console.app; if Adium has any runtime errors it will be logged there.

Looks like invalid colorspace type is the culprit according to my error log timestamps above:

One thing that I've noticed is that when you have a direct connection open with someone and continue to talk to them after they will not receive your messages until you close the connection/close the IM window and open it back up. Very annoying bug. This is with AIM by the way. I'm not sure if it happens with other services.

I'm still getting this frequently! Not seeing much in the console, and the debug window isn't telling me much more than what you see above.
Any idea what's going on with it? I have an AIM, Yahoo, and Facebook account set up with it.

2008-06-18 12:06:49.750 Adium[1711] *** -[NSNull objectForKey:]: selector not recognized [self = 0xa080b040]
That's the relevant bit. Hrrrm.... I'll consider how to debug it.

Haven't seen it in the past week (since I posted last) - I'm on b6 now but will post if I see it again.

I wonder if the JSON parsing is putting NSNull in items we expect to be dictionaries when getting Facebook messages or buddy list updates...
