Adium 1.2.5 and Leopard Firewall

Post by luke1970 »

Hi,

I have a little problem here:
I use the MacOS X 10.5.3 firewall with following settings: "Set access for specific services and applications" and I register an Adium rule with allow incoming connections, but MacOS X ask me by every Adium start "Do you want the application Adium.app to accept incoming network connections?"
What's the problem?
Every other program here works with MacOS X firewall, but not Adium :-(

Greetings, Bernd

p.s. sorry for my bad english

Did you read FileTransfer -> Mac OS X firewall?

I have setup Adium in MacOS X "Leopard" firewall to "Allow incoming connections", but the problem is always here.

Are you modifying Adium in any way, e.g. running a trimming or localization-removing program on it?
The duck still burns.

No, it's the original download version.

Hi again,

So, I have found the reason for my problem.
It's the Bonjour account.

When I have a Bonjour account in adium, then I become the "Do you want the application Adium.app to accept incoming network connections?" message every time when I start Adium.

Without an Bonjour account I become no message!

Ok, now, help me

Greetings, Bernd
