Group organization

Post by The_Tick »

I've organized groups in adium how I want. I quit adium and relaunched it. Now it doesn't have them how I had arranged the groups before??!?!

a standard reply seems to be:

group/contact organisation/modifications can be a bit iffy with LibGaim, if you are experiencing problems then try using the official client to make/check the modifications, if your problems persist then try moving on to your desktop one or all of

~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/Contact List.plist
~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/ByObject (folder)
~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/libgaim/blist.xml

if this solves the problem then the files you have placed on your desktop can then be deleted, however if the problem is unsolved then you may want to move them back to their original places.

(incidentally whenever i've tried this none of these appear in ...Users/Default, only ...Users/New User, would somebody care to explain what to do in that scenario?)

This might be related to window positioning.
It should be mentioned!

How to move the contact list when there's no title bar?

twopeak: In the .8 betas, you don't hold down command to move the window, you just drag it around. I prefer the old way of moving borderless windows, but eh
