archiving previous conversations

Post by twopeak »

I love to keep all my conversations, even those of years ago.

To open the log viewer now, is a pain, it takes hours and often crashes my computer.
It would be nice if the log viewer was an external application, or that logs get archived after a while (at the end of the year or something like that)

This way the logs load much faster.

Opening the log viewer for me is instantaneous, though it is a few seconds before all my logs (dating back to 2001) are visible in the list. What version of Adium? What version of OS X? What email for your crash reports?
The duck still burns.

There's a topic about these crashes in the beta-forum,
in here was more the suggestion to have less logfiles visible in the logwindow...
Since people only seldom want to see a conversation older than a month or a year.

Right now I archived the conversations by hand by renaming the Log folder and creating a new one.

Everything is at the last update, osx.8 adium .8b7. But I suggest I answer you in the beta forum, where you have asked me another difficult question :?
