Which Adium supported protocols use email for chat logging?

Post by taa »

I tried using Pownce on my Mac but it's not reliable enough yet (to be fair, it's a work in progress). One very nice thing about it is that IM's to Pownce also can be sent to my email address, so that if I didn't have Pownce on at the time I would still receive the IM via email. This worked extremely well for me. I'm wondering if there are any Adium supported protocols that do something similar? I tried searching the web but apparently this is not a very well publicized, or maybe not available, feature in other IM clients.

Can anyone who knows these various IM protocols help with this question?

I think Google Talk automatically handles offline IMs like E-Mails.

Thanks, I'll check it out! I can see though my message wasn't clear: Pownce sends IMs simultaneously to email -- all of them, regardless of whether it was sent offline or not.
