Hi,
I have found out that Proteus shows a small bubble while you or the other side is typing, as well as the indicator in the friends list. I have also propose the idea to Adium developers. But some days ago, I was checking the message style files in Proteus, and it seems like they contain some Java script or .js files, that have some function to detect when there is typing going on and then it shows this small bubble. Would it be possible to have such kind of function in the message style in the current Adium?
Thanks,
G.

Re: indicator in message window while typing
It would require an addition to Adium's message view system to do, but is otherwise quite possible. I'm waiting on a Safari change before revamping the format quite a bit, so perhaps I'll add it then.
Re: indicator in message window while typing
Mine already does this.
Is mine just special?

Re: indicator in message window while typing
Any idea of when this feature could be implemented?
Re: indicator in message window while typing
It's a slightly nontrivial pain to add this. I've had it half-working locally, but there's a set of bugs which are pretty difficult to fix.

Do you think we will see it in the next release?
Thanks!

Is what you want different from what is described in http://forums.cocoaforge.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=18326 ?

Re: indicator in message window while typing
No, it is actually a typing bubble like you get in iChat or Proteus while the other person or you are typing. It makes the conversation much more fluent and feels more natural when chatting with the other person
