I have a quick question about building new sound sets. I have my recordings ready to go, but I'm wondering how to start from scratch (or as close as possible) and export as a .soundset file to add to the Xtras library.
I'd do it myself but... Heh, I don't have the patience!
The thing that comes the closest to doing what you want is to take an existing soundpack and use that as a base for your own soundpack. Take TokyoTrainStation and look at how it's built. TokyoTrainStation is the now the default soundset on a clean Adium installation.
You will have to enter some new name for the soundpack so that no dublicates show up in Adium and maybe change the names on the audiofiles to the ones you have chosen - use Property List Editor for this. It's part of DeveloperTools. Take a peep in the above-mentioned soundset if you want to get a feel for how it is to build a soundset for Adium.
EDIT:Forgot to give you some instructions on how to enter the Soundpacks for Adium. Simply download a set and unzip it if it does not unzip on its own. Then rightclick the soundpack and select "Show Package Contents" then after this you should see the soundfiles and edit them to your hearts content.
