Post by jhonbob3 »

Has anyone thought about submitting it apples design awards? I think adium is one of the best aim clients out there and could stand a chance.

It's been in the IRC channels today and yesterday, and the devs think that Adium could be submitted if 0.8 is released soon.

When are the design awards?

I hope they aren't really soon, and I definitely hope that .8 isn't rushed in any way because of this.

I think we (well, the devs) might be able to manage that. I looked at the ToDo list and there are only 3 things with a priority of 5, though I don't know if priorities of 4 or 3 have to be done before .8's release. Language translation isn't mentioned in the ToDo list so hopefully we can wrap that up within a month.

We'll need in-app documentation, at least basic stuff, before we can submit to the ADA, so that's definitely a place you wonderful folks can help out directly :)

I would think that 0.80 should be released by May 13 - possibly even 0.81, if there happen to be some problems with 0.80.
