I think you mean "workaround" - a fix wouldn't result in lower security. Will there be a real fix soon?

I just had this issue after i upgraded to 1.3.1. What eventually did it was to disable the accounts (they hung at 'Handshaking (38%)') and after a minute re-enable and then albeit slowly it did connect to MSN.

no such issue with 1.30

Actually, in this case MSN had some server issue in the last hour or so.

Cool, well I've rolled back to my older version in the meantime as another workaround.

Long passwords will work in 1.3.2b1.
