Applications not regristering with Growl

Brand new install on a fresh system

Adium shows up on the list but nothing else, but not displaying notifications
Transmission, Shakespeer, Firefox, XChatAqua, Skype, GMail Notify, VLC
all of them are compatible applications that arnt registering with growl

ive tried reinstalling a few of the application and growl in different orders, no success

whats up? it worked flawlessly before my format

Well, the problem you bring up here has been brought up a lot before. Also, if you notice, other threads are getting activity, so I think people just missed this one.

Adium for instance has documentation on their website for how to get Growl working with Adium, have you looked at that?
