growltunes, growltunes plugin

Hello.. having some problems with growltunes.

Ideally, I would like: info pops up when I play/pause a track or hit skip, info remains up based on the duration I set in display options.

What I have: info pops up when itunes automatically cycles to the next song as well as when I skip. Does not appear at all on play/pause. This behavior occurs when the "Changed Tracks" notification is enabled. Enabling or disabling "started playing" seems to have no effect on the notifications I see. Furthermore, the duration slider is having no effect on how long growltunes notifications appear. This seems unusual.. I'm using the latest versions of grow/growltunes (downloaded today) on leopard.




I understand the Growltunes Plugin may address some of this, and that GTP may be released with Growl 1.2. What sort of release date is 1.2 looking at? Obviously I'm not expecting some exact date, just something to frame it. Are we looking at a month or two (pushing towards release) or half a year plus (not really thinking about releasing yet)?

You're describing a feature of Growl that GrowlTunes takes advantage of, called Coalescing.

We have no eta on a release of Growl 1.2 or GTP.
