I just recently switched from Azureus to Transmission, and it doesn't seem to register with Growl. I've tried forcing events that would normally try to send notifications to Growl, like downloading torrents, reaching seed quota, and having the speed limit activate and de-activate on a timer.
Is there any way I can whip Transmission into submission?
Transmission v1.34, Growl v1.1.4
Transmission not registering
Re: Transmission not registering
Do other applications work?
Re: Transmission not registering
Good point. On closer inspection, none of the four other apps in the Growl prefs pane seem to be working with Growl, and they don't re-register when I remove from the list and run the apps.
I've tried to uninstall Growl (per these instructions: http://growl.info/documentation/growl-p ... emoval.php), rebooting and installing it again, but I can't get it to work right. Growl seemed to remember the program list between installs, but I haven't been able to locate any additional hidden Growl-related files to remove.

Re: Transmission not registering
The Growl-compatible apps seem to add tickets to the Tickets folder in Application Support/Growl, but they don't show up in the pref pane.
Re: Transmission not registering
Located the Growl preferences file and deleted it, now the applications tab reflect the tickets in the Tickets folder. Notifications seem to be working.
My locate db was out of date, that's why I couldn't find the prefs file at first.

Re: Transmission not registering
OK. Problem solved, network notifications also up and running after a thorough system re-install.
