The following users are missing from your addressbook

Everytime I log into Adium I am presented with this message for the same few users. I don't want them on my addressbook, is there a way of suppressing the notice at all? Thanks.

Remove them from your block or allow list in Adium Menu -> Privacy Settings...

If that doesn't solve it then do a backup of your ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0 folder and then delete ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/libpurple/blist.xml, this will remove your local list and force Adium to redownload the server stored lists for all your accounts.

It perhaps would of been better for the notice to be more informal to the user, directing them to the route to eliminate the nagging if wanted - but it's not like I'm gonna love Adium any less

I am having the same problem and did all the steps that were mentioned, and I still have that window pop up

I'm having the same problem.
Every time I use my macbook Adium complains with "The following users are missing from your addressbook".
The user in question is in my Windows Live blocked list and I believe it doesn't exist any more. It's not possible for me to remove it because removing it from the blocked list adds it to the allow list. And since it doesn't exist I can't see it in the contact list to delete it.

I've tried all the suggestions but none of them have worked.

I'm also receiving this message.. Same symptoms.. user is in block list, but no longer exists.
I dont seem to be able to fix this from MSN on the web, or using MSN Messenger for Mac..

Does anyone have a working solution for this problem already? I don't have contacts blocked or something like that, even tried some other accounts, who didn't showed pop-ups about users who are missing from my adressbook. I have the problem with one account, when i login i'm getting the popup: ''the following users are missing from your address book''.

I can use Adium, i can chat with other people from this account, but i find it kinda frustrating that i get this popup every time i login. (i have reinstalled my macbook several times, but the popup is still showing up)

Some help will be appreciated!
