growlnotify not working intermittently (v1.1.4 / v0.6)

Hello,

I'm noting that growl notifications on my MacBook (OSX v10.5.5) are not appearing intermittently. I can replicate this at the command line via:

 growlnotify -n autotest --image ~/.autotest_images/fail.png -p 2 -m "32 examples, 1 failure" FAIL

This works sometimes and not other times. Any suggestions on how to fix this, or how to fault find. Some additional information below.
[1] Version number in Grown Pref Pane = 1.1.4

Make sure you are using the growlnotify that ships with 1.1.4, and not one installed previously.

Should the growlnotify version be 1.1.4? Given I've obviously installed the latest version of growl how do I actually make sure that I'm using the growlnotify that ships with 1.1.4?

Delete the current installation of growlnotify and install a new version is probably the easiest way.

I have exactly the same issue - I've been tearing whats left of my hair out too.

$ growlnotify -v
growlnotify 1.1.4
Copyright (c) The Growl Project, 2004-2008

Seems totally random. Sometimes I get a growl, but generally I don't.

Running the same growlnotify that autotest uses manually from the cmdline works ever time - if thats any help.

I have exactly the same problem as isteel. I am using it for autotest and only some notifications are appearing. It seems like it stops when autotest is sending many messages over a short time.

Does Growl have a bug/issue tracker where we can submit this bug?

This is a fresh new macbook also, so no previous versions installed of anything.
