Adium 1.3.2 MSN Issue

My MSN account will not log in, it keeps giving me this error when reaching 100% and trying to get the buddy list:

Unable to add user
Unknown error (241)

I've never had this problem with Adium before and I'm not quite sure how to go about fixing it.

Running Adium 1.3.2 on OSX 5.5

hmmm... never had it before? ok well all I can think of here is to re-download adium and see if it persists. if it DOES keep happening then go to the adium Trac and search for your problem I'm sure someone has had a similar problem before

Having the same problem - had an old version of Adium and could not connect to AIM or MSN.

Just updated to 1.3.2 - still couldn't connect to either - changed port of AIM to 443 and that now works - however MSN still getting this same error:read error.

Will it be as easy as a port fix for MSN too?

OK post and solve - I got it to work by simply ticking the box "Connect via HTTP" under options for my MSN account. Seems too simple really....

This will probably be fixed in 1.3.3. (It's fixed in libpurple more or less)

I experience this same problem as well in OSX 10.4.11 -- error 241: can not add user. It *seems* to think that it must add me as another user (?) to my list of contacts. This happens only when I start up Adium.

Another annoyance is having to re-set the privacy settings each time I log into MSN.
