A52 Problems with public domain 1935 Scrooge?

Hi all,

I downloaded the MPEG 2 version of the following movie: http://www.archive.org/details/Scrooge_1935 and played it successfully using VLC but cannot get audio to work using QT Pro 7.5.5, Apple MPEG 2 decoder and Perian 1.1.3. I have a MacBook running MacOS 10.5.6.

I downloaded Perian because the movie uses the a52 audio codec - according to VLC.

The reason I want this to work in QT is so I can burn it onto DVD using iDVD.

Any suggestions ? What should I check next?
