Cannot Install 1.1.3 on Mac Pro

I dbl-click on the Perian.prefPane -- Prefs opens, I get the msg. about replacing older version, but then it sticks at 'Loading Perian...". When I dbl-click on the Perian prefs pane in system preferences I get a message "Cannot open Perian because it does not run on an intel Mac" (or some such).

Tried re-installing 1.1.2. Same thing. Except I get a "Cannot open Perian Preferences pane". msg.

Any ideas?

Apple's bug. Report it: http://bugreporter.apple.com

Open Library/PreferencePanes and manually replace it. If you installed Perian for all users, that will be /Library, if for only the current user, that will be Library within your home directory.

The free membership is sufficient (or maybe even just having an AppleID). I never paid for ADC, and I end up reporting a few bugs a year (which became a few a month since Leopard came out).
