Hi, a friend of mine recently set up a seedbox and I've been trying to use Cyberduck to download files from this but without too much luck. If I use my Windows box with CuteFTP I get download speeds of around 1.5Mbps, however, I'm lucky to get close to 400Kbps on my Macbook. I don't think it's a problem specifically related to Cyberduck as I've tried other clients with similar results but I'm running out of ideas now so I would be grateful for any advice. So far I have:
disabled router firewall (it's a BT Home Hub) and forwarded port 21; enabled FTP in OS X; allowed connections to Cyberduck in OS X firewall; changed my router to the master phone socket; I've tried using passive or active modes but all with the same results. I considered that BT might be throttling FTP traffic but my Windows box doesn't have the same issues.
Is there something I'm missing, I'm new to mac. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
