Sending files to on unsupported accounts

Post by jphastings »

I have a meta-contact in my adium list, the person has an MSN address and a Google Talk address. Obviously adium's automagick switches between the accounts depending on which services my friend is logged into.
My question concerns when my friend and I are chatting on a service that doesn't support file transfers (eg. GTalk) but they're also connected on a service that does (eg. MSN). Adium usually says 'this service does not support file transfers' - is there any way that adium could pick up this response and automatically attempt to send using one of the other registered services?

You could file a ticket suggesting this improvement. :)

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with adium and i don't know how to debug it.
I've been using adium for a really long time. The problem I-m having is regarding file transfer.
I-m using it mostly for my yahoo account, the problem appears when trying to send a file to
another yahoo user, I get a message saying <<file has been sent>>, but the other person doesn't get anything
I have to mention that I get all the files sent to me from yahoo users.

If anyone knows how to do this please let me know,

Thanks

I have that too. Mac OS X 10.5, MBP, Comcast Internet.

Cannot send or receive files between Yahoo.

Not sure about other accounts yet.
