Facebook - Invisible/Away Status

I added my FaceBook contact to Adium and would like to set my status as Invisible or Away but doesn't seem to work. I'm told by my FaceBook friends that it constantly shows my status as ONLINE/Available in FaceBook, which is annoying!!

Is it possible to set your FaceBook status in Adium to invisible or away (or anything other than available) and it change in FaceBook as well?

I see you haven't gotten any replies... but I have the same "issue", if in fact it's an "issue" and not just something that's impossible.

I understand that Facebook Chat doesn't support Invisible but is there anyway that I can keep my Facebook friends list open without being online 24/7? i mean it's kinda annoying not ever being able to be away even if you're away in adium... doesn't make much sense considering the bubble beside your facebook account under the status menu is red while you're away... and it has a "Set to Current Adium Status" option next to it as well..

should there be a "just kidding" next to that or what, cuz it ain't workin...

If Facebook can't do it, Adium can't do it. Simple as that. This is something to request to Facebook, not Adium. Nothing Adium can do about it until Facebook adds away statuses.

yeah I understand you can't be "Away" per se but is there not an "Idle" status for Facebook?

Shouldn't you show up as "Idle" if you set your Adium status to "Away"?

Actually, you might be right...I didn't know it was supposed to do this, but that's what it says in this ticket: http://trac.adium.im/ticket/11928

This was over a month ago. Any update on this? I'm using the nightlies and it still doesn't seem to be implemented...

Seemed more appropriate and this thread wasn't getting any attention at all. I'm still waiting on some help in the one I posted.
