Better Address Book integration

I like the integration concepts (automatic meta contact creation), but I'd like to see an option to associate an existing buddy (or meta contact) with an existing (or new) address book entry.

Possibly a "select Address Book entry" button on the buddy or meta-contact's "get info" dialog.

Furthermore, a context menu option in the buddy list to display the buddy's associated address card would be useful.

Also useful in this regard, would be a way to integrate Adium into the Address Book framework such that the actions context for Email and IM entries could link to AdiumX rather than iChat...

Just my suggestions.

I would like to see this type of stuff too!

Also some way to drag vcards on the contact list to add them

Duh -- I didn't really even think to look to see if this type of thing was available as an add-on.

wouldn't mind being able to mail someone right from the message window much like proteus. the flowing into of several applications is amazing. adium still feels separate from address book and mail.

After installing the Address Book scripts which are great ta very much, I have a question in regards to limitations that hopefully someone might clarify.

I have a contacts management database using FileMaker Pro 7 and I am looking at a situation where in a business a specified group of contacts say 1000 or so would be using AIM and Skype as a preference. I would create a field in FM7 as the scripts have done in Address Book and have the screen name entered in the field and with a script attached would hope to launch Adium or iChat and send a message.

Now my question is, is one able to initiate from the screen name without the person being listed as a Buddie or Contact in the programme as I understand there are limitations to the number of contacts that can be added as sometimes I have seen an error message saying that I may have exceeded the allowed number of contacts even though I have only 5 or 6 at this stage.
