Creating Contact List Styles...

Post by zaudragon »

I'm stumped. How can I do this? The old forum had a topic on this, but now it's gone :( Please post a tutorial or something that will help! BTW, I did study the contact list styles already made, but I don't now what it is :cry:

Preferences -> Contact List

There are 2 tables:

First - Layout - Controls 'feel' of window (width, style, etc.)
Second - Style - Controls the look of window (colors, etc.)

Both have + & - buttons to add and remove. The Edit button allows you to edit a style that already exists.

HTH.

If you hit the '+' button thats near the bottom of the layout table, it will make a copy of the one thats currently highlighted, then you can modify it any way you like. The Same applies for the color themes.

Ok, so how do you save a contact list style? (For example, so you can submit it as an extra on the Adium website.)

Once you've created one that you like, and gave it a name in the prefs, go to this folder:

~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Contact List/

and look for the .ListTheme and/or .ListLayout file with that name. Submitting both is a good idea, if you've made two.
