adium - they are offline

Post by letthereberock »

Oi oi oi!!

Yeah two days before i got my mac mini ;)
The same day I downloaded adium - i love that program.

But something's wrong ... most of my buddies are offline!

First i thaugt - what's up? Nobody is on his PC?

But then the first guy talked to me. he was shown as offline and I asked him, if he is invisible.
He wasn't.

I downloaded Proteus. But: same problem!

Please help me!

Are these Jabber accounts? If som it sounds like the authorization didn't happen correctly. Both Proteus and Adium suffer from this. (The next version of Adium is reported to have improved authorization tools.) What I do is launch Psi and resend the authorization requests. You could try having your buddies reauthorize you.

If it's another IM service, I don't know if it works the same way or not.

MSN also requires authorization, so it could be the issue there too...

I'm speaking of icq.
What is Psi?

And please tell me exactly what to do ;)

I have my mac for three days, so please understand me ;)

Thanks!

Psi isn't going to help with ICQ. Psi is a Jabbber client. I much prefer Adium. Psi was developed specifically for Jabber, but is not a native Mac application.
