Satin message view style broken - anyone willing to fix?

Post by Vlcice »

I've just updated to 10.3.9, but have found that, unfortunately, my favourite message view style, Satin is broken. :( The scrolling is broken (as in other styles that use smooth scrolling), and icons appear full-size, which breaks it since it's expecting small icons.

Would anyone be willing to help out and fix it? :3 Unfortunately I don't know enough about making message styles to be able to fix it myself.

Does the problem lie with message views then, and it's their creators that need to update them?, or there a possibility of a fix within Adium itself being released in an update going to solve it, because there are a lot of message view styles that use smooth scrolling, and it would really suck if they all became useless, espcially as it would be difficult to get all the creators (or anyone else willing to do it) to fix them all.
This is our decision, to live fast and die young.

Scrolling problems in 10.3.9 are the fault of 3rd party message styles.

Style authors are encouraged to properly maintain their message styles, specifically updating styles to version 3 and removing any custom BOM scripts unless absolutely necessary.

The thing is, I'm trying to fix it, but I don't know JS well enough :)

Read the topics posted above and one of them has the source of the problem.

Good luck with that, then, and thank you very much! :3 I wish I knew any JS to be able to help.

I've found the problem with the buddy icons! WebKit is apparently now case-sensitive. The CSS used ".buddyIcon" before, which no longer works - changing those to ".buddyicon" in the appropriate CSS files fixes that up nicely.
