Text only changes colour once :(

When I try to change the colour of my font it only changes it once, after that it goes back to black, Is there anyway I can make it change permanently?

The font I'm using is "Futura" If that matters, and the colour is "Spring" (Crayon colour)


Adium version is: 1.3.5
OS is : OS X 10.5.8

http://www.adiumx.com/screencasts/ , episode 4, shows how to save a color.
After choosing the color of your choice, you click "Save this setting as my default font" at the bottom of the font-panel.
I hope that will do the trick.
