Newbie with simple question.

I'm a complete retard I'm sure but how do you add your msn and yahoo account? I have my aim added but for the life of me I can't remember how I did it.

I'm new to macs and I gotta tell you, I've been missing out. I'm still learning though.

Help? Anybody?

From the Adium menu, select Preferences. Click on the Accounts button in the toolbar and then the + button at the lower left of the window. Should be self-explanatory from there.

i got through this......
but after a while i got the GAIM error
invalid user name

what happened

It means you typed it wrong. Make sure that you're choosing the right service.

i'm 100% sure that i typed it right kirk,
coz' at the same time i logged in to YM using the same account and it work as usual.....is it something wih the firewall?

FYI:
i can only logged in to YM after 6pm local time, before that my administrator lock the YM service to save the bandwith?

Did this gaim error happen for your MSN account? MSN user names are full email addresses, like somebody@hotmail.com, or somebodyelse@weirdname.net

And for YM, don't try to type "your_name@yahoo.com", just "your_name". That should work.

i was following the steps for setting the jabber account for google talk
i thought the same steps works for YM too

i'm sorry for being a completely retard

here's another problem
after awhile i get "GAIM error: unable to read
i've change the server's location for several times
i'm also already restart my computer
but i still get that message

at the bottom of the preferences//account window
it says " 1 account 0 online"
what does it mean?
